TOWSON, Md. – Towson softball ran their win streak to three after a 9-5 win against Charleston on a windy and cold Sunday afternoon. The Tigers trailed into the sixth inning before putting up six runs to even their CAA record.
Towson (12-9, 3-3 CAA) lead after the first but Charleston scored five straight to take a 5-3 lead after four. The Tiger offense would explode in the sixth, capped by a
Madyson Peters grand slam to give Towson 9-5 lead.

- After a scoreless second, Charleston would score four runs in the third and one in the fourth to push ahead 5-3.
- Towson would get runners to second and third in the fifth, but a pop out would end the threat.
- The Tigers then found their offense in the sixth. Emma Armstrong reached on an error and advanced on another Cougar error.
- Sydni Byers would get hit by a pitch to load the bases. Cori Jones would bring home Elizabeth Yoskowitz and Kellie Zoerb to tie the game.
- With the bases loaded, Madyson Peters came up and unloaded a grand slam to deep left field to put Towson in front 9-5.
- Maddie Gardner would come on in the seventh and close the door on the Cougars to give Towson a 9-5 win and a series sweep.
