HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. – The Towson University women's lacrosse team went against the Hofstra Pride on Saturday in Long Island. The Tigers (7-3, 2-0 CAA) defeated the Pride (3-7, 0-2 CAA) 10-7 in a rain-soaked game with
Milana Zizakovic leading the way with four points (3g, 1a).
Gabby Garrett added two goals and one assist for the Black & Gold.

- Towson scored the game's first goal after Lindsay Clarke forced a turnover at midfield, then passed it to Blair Pearre who found Milana Zizakovic open on the counterattack and Zizakovic buried the one-on-one.
- Zizakovic got her second goal after she converted a free position opportunity to double the Tigers' lead.
- Clarke made the score 3-0 after she wrapped around the crease and rifled a shot near post for her 11th of the season with 1:30 left.
- Hofstra opened the second quarter with a free-position goal, but Pearre notched her 24th of the year to restore a three-goal early in the second quarter.
- Shannon Sullivan scored her third goal of the year on a free-position attempt to give Towson a 5-1 advantage.
- Hofstra responded with two goals to cut the lead to two, but Zizakovic completed her hat trick after Gabby Garrett found Zizakovic cutting toward the middle who fired it home to give Towson a 6-3 edge going into halftime.
- The Pride started the third quarter with two quick goals to cut the deficit to one, but the Tigers scored on another counterattack after Sullivan forced a turnover and found Garrett who rifled it past the goalie to have a 7-5 lead.
- The fourth quarter started with both teams trading possessions, then Garrett scored her second goal of the day after Lindsey Marshall made a perfect pass to Garrett to make the score 8-5.
- The Pride scored on their next possession, but Ocea Leavy scored her third of the year after great passing left Leavy wide open in front of the net to maintain a three-goal advantage.
- Hofstra scored a minute later to cut the lead to 9-7 on a woman-up opportunity.
- The Tigers won the ensuing draw control and took over a minute off the clock, then Olivia Malamphy caused a turnover on the Pride's possession to give the Tigers the ball back with 1:29 left.
- Marshall capped off the win with a late goal to reach the final score of 10-7 and give Towson a 2-0 start in CAA play.
