How It Happened:
  • Towson's defense helped force a pair of failed clears for Hampton to begin the game.  Austin Ducommun got a pass from behind the cage and scored on the high-to-low shot to put Towson on the board with 12:21 left in the first.
  • The Tigers forced another pair of failed clears as the action keep up in the following minutes.  On an unsettled situation, Mikey Weisshaar got the feed from Nick DeMaio for a long range fire and score.

  • Towards the end of the quarter, Josh Webber took a sprint to the cage and scored on a shot between the keeper's feet.  Towson led 5-0 after one.
  • After forcing a Hampton shot clock violation to begin the second quarter, Towson rolled off a pair of quick goals, Berkeley spinning off a defender and then DeMaio pulling a double team to free Jonathan Bender for the right-to-left shot and score.  Towson kept the pressure on as Austin Stewart scored on a laser under the crossbar and Schrier added a goal on the doorstep in transition for a 9-0 Towson lead with 9:24 left in the second.
