NEWARK, Del. – Towson softball dropped the series finale against the Blue Hens, 3-0 on Saturday afternoon in Newark. The Tigers had a base runner in each of the first six innings, but the Tigers could not push a run across in the loss.
Towson (24-20, 13-8 CAA) got three hits in the contest, drawing four walks in the contest.

- Both starting pitchers allowed just a pair of hits through the first two innings as both offenses struggled to get anything going.
- Delaware however would get a leadoff home run in the first to take an early 1-0 lead.
- Towson would get a base runner in scoring position in each of the first three innings, but each time the runners would be stranded on base.
- The Blue Hens would add to their lead in the fourth with a run to make it 2-0.
- Towson would threaten again in the sixth but would strand another base runner. Delaware would add a run in their half of the sixth and hold off the Tigers for a 3-0 loss for Towson in the finale.

Towson will return home for their final CAA series of the regular season against Stony Brook on Saturday and Sunday, April 29-30. The Tigers and Seawolves will play two games on Saturday starting at noon with a single game on Sunday at 1 p.m. The game Sunday will serve as Senior Day where the Tigers will honor
