HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. – Towson softball went toe-to-toe with the Pride in the rubber game of their series with the Tigers coming out on top 8-6 on Saturday.
Elizabeth Yoskowitz provided the heroics with the go-ahead RBI triple in the seventh to give Towson the lead for good.
Towson (19-17, 9-6 CAA) would take see the Pride erase their lead twice in the game before the seventh inning. The Tigers have now won their last two conference series, going 5-1 during that stretch.

How It Happened:
- Towson struck first in the top of the second. Cara Bohner led off with a double to left field. She would come around to score three batters later off an Ally Hickman RBI double to left to give the Tigers a 1-0 lead.
- Hosftra would answer back in their half of the second, using a two-run home run and RBI double to take a 3-1 lead after two. They would add another run in the third to take a 4-1 lead.
- Mackenzie Lake would cut the deficit to 4-3 with a two-RBI single that scored Elizabeth Yoskowitz and Briana Ramirez who each had singles.
- Madyson Peters tied the game just pitches later on an RBI double down the right field line to make it 4-4.
- Addie Ferguson would put the Tigers back in front in the fifth with an opposite field home run, her third of the season.
- Ally Hickman would follow up with a home run of her own to dead center to make it 6-4.
- After the Pride tied it in the fifth, Towson would take the lead back in the seventh.
- Elizabeth Yoskowitz ripped a triple down the right field line that scored Hickman to make it 7-6 Towson. Cori Jones would drive home Yoskowitz with a single to left to make it 8-6.
- Cheyenne Beayon would hold off the Pride in the seventh to give Towson an 8-6 win and taking the series 2-1.
