TOWSON, Md. – Towson University swimmer Brian Benzing recorded a time of 1:02.00 in preliminary heats of the 100-meter breaststroke at the USA Swimming Futures Championships in Richmond, Virginia Wednesday morning.
 
That time qualifies Benzing for the 2024 U.S. Olympic Team Trials, slated for June 15-23, 2024 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana. He solidified the top spot in this evening's finals session, scheduled to start at 5:30 p.m.
 
The USA Swimming Futures Championships is scheduled to run through Saturday, July 29. Preliminary heats begin at 9 a.m. each day. The finals are scheduled to commence at 5:30 p.m. each evening.
