WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The Towson University women's tennis team finished the Tribe Invitational on Sunday afternoon. The Black & Gold picked up two wins including a consolation bracket championship by Mya Spencer. The Tigers will compete in the Navy Blue & Gold Invitational on Sept. 29th - Oct. 1st.
Doubles
Tribe Doubles                                                                                                                                                  
The duo of Mya Spencer/Lea Kosanovic faced off against Penn's duo of Smith/Tkachenko and fell 6-1.
Chandré Boshoff/Ashira Murray played East Carolina's duo of Rivera/Lou Champion and were victorious 6-0. In the consolation bracket final, Boshoff/Murray faced off against Richmond's O'Neil/Novak, but dropped the match 6-1.                                                                                                   
Griffin Doubles
Olivia Rothfeld/Erin Gray took on Richmond's Bakhaya/Oliveira and fell 6-1 to the duo.
All-In Doubles
Sania Suchinsky and William & Mary's Julia Monroe went against William & Mary's Debnam/Vaissaud in a tight match, but fell 6-2.
 
White Singles
Mya Spencer took on East Carolina's Isabella Ortiz in the consolation bracket championship and won 6-0, 7-6(5) over Ortiz.
 
Yellow Singles (Round Robin)
Erin Gray went against Virginia Tech's Samantha Tepes and dropped the match 6-2, 6-1.
