TOWSON, Md. – Towson women's soccer moved their win streak to five and unbeaten streak to six in a 3-0 win against Stony Brook on Thursday night. The Tigers got a pair of late first half goals and never looked back in the win.
Towson (9-1-1, 5-0-1 CAA) outshot the Seawolves (3-4-4, 1-3-2 CAA) 9-1 in the opening 45 minutes.

How It Happened:
- Both teams battled for early possession in the first half with Phoebe Canoles registering the only shot for either team in the first 15 minutes of play.
- Towson would break through in the 27th minute. Nia Christopher would slot home a shot off a beautiful feed from Sydney Cradle in the midfield to give Towson a 1-0 lead.
- From there Towson would find their rhythm offensively with Jasmine Hamid getting a good look in the 37th minute, but her attempt was saved.
- Maja Hansson gave the Tigers a 2-0 lead just seconds before halftime. Hansson netted her first career goal off a corner kick from Canoles to make it 2-0 at the break.
- Stony Brook would come out and put some shots on target, but each time Riley Melendez was up to the task to keep it 2-0.
- Towson would add an insurance goal in the 61st minute. Canoles would find the back of the net off a cross from Jasmine Hamid who get a through ball from Alexandra Rush to make it 3-0.
- Stony Brook would have chances late, but the Tigers came out with a 3-0 victory on Thursday night.
