TOWSON, Md. – Towson men's basketball freshman Tyler Tejada was named Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) Rookie of the Week for the second straight week on Monday, the conference announced. Tejada helped lead the Tigers to a 2-0 week that included a big road win at Charleston and a rout of Campbell at home on Saturday.

The New Jersey native poured in a career-high 18 points on 6-12 shooting (3-5 from three) with six rebounds and one assist against the Camels. For the week, Tejada averaged 12.0 ppg and 6.0 rpg shooting 45 percent and 38 percent from three. This is the third rookie of the week award for Tejada who is averaging 14.3 ppg in home conference games this season.

The Tigers will look to extend their win streak against first-place Drexel on Thursday, Jan. 25 at TU Arena. Tipoff with the Dragons is set for 7 p.m. and will air on MeTV Baltimore and FloHoops with Spiro Morekas and Jimmy Patsos on the call.
