Towson Women’s Basketball Falls to Delaware

TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University women's basketball team took on the Delaware Blue Hens in a Sunday afternoon matchup in Newark. The Tigers (11-7, 3-4 CAA) fell to the Blue Hens (7-12, 2-4 CAA) 73-59.

India Johnston led the Tigers with 19 points shooting 6-of-14 (42.8%) from the floor.

  • The Blue Hens went 27-34 (79.4%) from the free throw line while the Tigers went 5-of-9 (55.6%).
  • Delaware won the rebounding battle 51-36.

  • Towson got out a 7-4 lead after three free throws from India Johnston.
  • The teams went back and forth with the Tigers extending the lead to five after a Johnston three-pointer.
