Towson Men’s Basketball Falls to South Carolina on Tuesday

COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Towson University men's basketball team faced off against the South Carolina Gamecocks on Tuesday night in Colonial Life Arena. The Tigers (1-2) dropped the non-conference matchup 80-54 to the Gamecocks (2-1).
 
Nendah Tarke led the Tigers with 12 points, seven rebounds and three steals while Christian May finished with ten points and eight rebounds.

  • The Gamecocks shot 50% from the floor while the Tigers shot 29.6%.
  • South Carolina had 38 points in the paint compared to 20 for Towson.
  • The Tigers went 17-of-29 (58.6%) from the free throw line while the Gamecocks went 22-of-30 (73.3%).

  • The Gamecocks opened the first half with a 12-3 run that spanned over the first six minutes.
