TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University volleyball team faced Hofstra in the first of two matches on Friday evening. The Pride topped the Tigers in five sets after taking the second, third and fifth sets in the match.
 
Victoria Barrett led the team with 15 kills. Ava Nakai added 12.

• Hofstra opened set two with an 8-4 lead.
• They pushed the lead to 12-7 before a string of three-straight Tiger points to cut the deficit to two.
• Hofstra responded with a 5-0 run to take a seven-point edge in the set.
• At 20-13, the Pride scored five of the final six points to win 25-14.
• The third set opened in favor of the Pride as they built a 10-5 lead early.
• The Tigers answered back with a string of three-straight, cutting the deficit to two.
• Towson scored five of the next seven points to take a 13-12 lead.
• In a 16-14 deficit, Hofstra went on an 8-1 run to take a 22-17 lead.
• The Pride scored the final three points of the set for a 25-18 win.
