WASHINGTON – The Towson University women's basketball team faced George Washington in the final game of a five-game road trip to begin the season. The Revolutionaries outlasted the Tigers, 69-57, at the Charles E. Smith Center in Washington.

Deja Bristol (15),
India Johnston (11),
Semaya Turner (10) and
Khady Leye (10). Leye added 11 boards for her first collegiate double-double.

- Towson responded with an 8-3 run of its own before a GW three tied the game at 16 at the end of the quarter.
- The Revs started the second quarter on a 16-4 run to build a 32-20 lead.
- The Tigers closed the half on an 8-4 run to cut the deficit to 36-28.
- The beginning of the second half belonged to the Tigers as a 9-4 run cut the deficit to three with 6:39 left in the quarter.
- An 8-2 GW run pushed their lead back to nine at 48-39.
- The Tigers closed the quarter on a 9-2 run to make it a two-point deficit with one quarter to play.
- An Anaiah Jenkins three with 6:46 left to go pulled the Tigers within one at 54-53.
- The Revs closed the game on a 15-4 run to win, 69-57.
