MANATÍ, Puerto Rico – The Towson University women's basketball team faced UTSA in the first of two games in the Puerto Rico Clásico on Friday afternoon. The Roadrunners topped the Tigers, 71-40, at Jose Cruz Abreu Coliseum in Manatí, Puerto Rico.
 
India Johnston led all scorers with 19 points, including a 5-for-9 mark from behind the arc. Semaya Turner had a season-high six rebounds.

• By the end of the first half, the Roadrunners added four points to their lead after closing the quarter with a 12-8 advantage.
• Shariah Baynes hit a triple in the opening minute of the second half, the first field goal of the half for either team.
• Jumpers from Khady Leye and Johnston cut the deficit to 16 at 45-29 with 5:39 left in the third after Johnston's make.
• The Roadrunners closed the quarter scoring 13-straight points to push their lead to 58-29.
• UTSA scored 11 of the first 15 points out of the fourth quarter to extend the advantage to 69-33.
• The Tigers closed the game on a 7-2 run to fall by a final of 71-40.
