AKRON, Ohio – The Towson University men's basketball team traveled to Akron, Ohio to take on the Duquesne Dukes at LeBron James Arena. The Tigers (4-7) dropped the non-conference matchup to the Dukes (3-8) 65-47 on Saturday night.
 
Nendah Tarke led the Tigers with ten points and two steals while Tyler Tejada and Tomiwa Sulaiman each finished with eight points.

How It Happened vs Duquesne:

• The Dukes opened the game by scoring eight of the first 11 points, but Mekhi Lowery converted a three-point play to cut the lead down to two.
• The teams went back-and-forth trading baskets then Duquesne extended its lead to seven after a Cameron Crawford layup with 7:24 left in the first half.
• Nendah Tarke drained a three-pointer to cut the lead down to four.
• The Dukes closed the first half with a 13-2 run to have a 34-19 lead.
• The Tigers started the second half by scoring nine of the first 14 points highlighted by a Tyler Tejada dunk.
• Towson cut the lead down to eight with 10:17 left after an 8-2 run that included three-point plays from Messiah Jones.
