TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University men's basketball team hosted the UMBC Retrievers in the Charm City Hoops Classic at TU Arena. The Tigers (4-6) fell to the UMBC (6-5) 84-71 on Saturday
 
Dylan Williamson led the Tigers with 21 points shooting 61.5% from the field. Tyler Tejada finished with 18 points and nine rebounds off the bench.

• The Retrivers shot 51.7% from the floor while Towson shot 38.5%.

• The Retrievers opened the game with a 12-2 run, but the Tigers responded with a 7-2 run to cut the deficit to five with 14:58 remaining.
• UMBC extended its lead with a 15-2 run that spanned over seven minutes.
• The teams traded baskets to end the first half with Towson trailing 38-24 at the break.
• The teams opened the second half exchanging baskets, then the Retrievers went on a 11-2 run to extend their lead.
