TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University women's tennis team has added two more to the 2024 class announced by head coach
Jamie Peterson. Sofia Anderson and Jocelynn Ginsburg are set to join the Tigers in the fall of 2024.
"We are really looking forward to having Jocelynn and Sofia join us in the fall. They are both very hard working, extremely focused on their tennis, have excellent academics and have potential to really grow in the program," said
Jamie Peterson.
Anderson comes to Towson from Swarthmore, Pennsylvania, where she was a four-year letterwinner at Strath Haven High School. She is a three-time Central League singles semifinalist and three-time District One qualifier in singles. In doubles play, she is a two-time District One qualifier and quarterfinalist. Anderson was named MVP in her sophomore year and was named captain in her senior year.
Ginsberg joins Towson after playing for Deep Run High School. She plays at the number two seed for singles and won the Coach's Award in her sophomore season. She earned the Best Serve award and finished with the most combined wins in singles and doubles play in 2023.
The Tigers start their spring at Navy on February 17th at 10 a.m.
