TOWSON, Md. – Towson University diver Grady Gardner has been named the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) Men's Rookie Diver of the Month for January, announced by the league office Tuesday afternoon.
 
Gardner posted podium finishes for the Tigers in meets against Howard and Drexel. The freshman placed third in the 1-meter competition against Howard with a score of 232.25, which ranks 10^th in the CAA. He was also third on the 3-meter board vs. Drexel with a score of 225.08, which is also 10^th-best in the conference.
 
This is Gardner's second monthly honor of the season.
 
On Deck for Towson
Towson hosts the Tiger Winter Open over three sessions on Feb. 9 and 10. Session one is 5:00 p.m. on Friday evening. Sessions two and three are 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., respectively, on Saturday.
