TOWSON, Md. – Towson men's basketball dropped a 74-62 decision against Delaware on Thursday night at TU Arena. The Tigers jumped out to an early lead but could not overcome a halftime deficit in the loss.
Charles Thompson led the Tigers with an 18-point 11-rebound double-double.
Towson (14-10, 7-4 CAA) trimmed a second half deficit from the Blue Hens (15-9, 7-4 CAA) to as few as seven, but could not complete the comeback in the loss. Thompson was one of three Tigers in double figures, leading the way with 18 points.

- Thompson went 7-14 from the floor for his fifth double-double of the season, collecting 11 rebounds.
- Nendah Tarke added 13 points with Tyler Tejada adding 12 points in the loss.
- The Tigers scored 36 points in the paint and scored 10 points on the fastbreak.
How It Happened:
- Delaware came out firing early connecting on four straight threes to force a Towson timeout with the Tigers trailing 12-4. Nendah Tarke ended a 6-0 run with a driving layup after the timeout.
- Towson would continue to cut into the deficit by the next media timeout by going three for three from the floor to cut the Blue Hen lead to five.
- The Blue Hens would extend their lead to double digits using an 8-0 run. However, a three from Tomiwa Sulaiman and a driving layup from Tarke cut it to eight.
- However, the Tigers would trail into halftime 36-26. Nendah Tarke led the Tigers with six points with Sulaiman and Tyler Tejada each chipping in five.
- Towson came out strong in the second half getting a steal and runout from Sulaiman to cut the deficit to seven, forcing a Delaware timeout.
- The Tigers would respond to a Delaware run with a Dylan Williamson and one that cut it to nine at the under 12 timeout.
- However, the Tigers could not complete a comeback, falling 74-62 on Thursday.

- 3,505 fans came out on Thursday night to TU Arena. That is the 9th largest attendance in TU Arena history and the largest attendance this season.
- Charles Thompson moved into third on the all-time list in minutes played, passing Nicolas Timberlake.
