TOWSON, Md. – Towson softball fell in the series finale against the Pride, 12-0 on Sunday at Tiger Softball Stadium. The Pride scored in the second inning to take the lead and never looked back.
Towson (8-13, 1-2 CAA) collected five hits with
Mackenzie Lake and
Cori Jones each recording two hits in the loss.
Key Stats:
- Both Lake and Jones went 2-3 from the plate with Lake recording an extra base hit.
- Elizabeth Yoskowitz added a hit for the Tigers on Sunday.
How It Happened:
- The Tigers threatened early with Mackenzie Lake leading off the first with a double. She would work to third on a Jones single bit both would be stranded on base.
- The Pride would get on the board first in the second to take an early lead. Towson would be retired in order in the next two innings as Hofstra extended their lead to 6-0.
- Jones got on base in the fourth on a leadoff single, but the inning would end.
- Hofstra would score six more runs over the final three innings to defeat the Tigers 12-0 on Sunday.

- Towson will hit the road for five straight starting with a midweek contest against Delaware State on Wednesday, Mar. 2. First pitch is slated for 2 p.m. in Delaware.
