BOX SCORE TOWSON, Md.- The Towson University tennis team took on the Stony Brook Seawolves at the Tiger Tennis Complex on Thursday afternoon. The Tigers defeated the Seawolves 4-3 to pick up their first win of the season. In singles action,
Ashira Murray and
Sania Suchinsky won in straight sets while
Olivia Rothfeld won by retirement. In doubles action,
Mya Spencer & Murray won their match 6-2, while
Chandré Boshoff and
Lea Kosanovic picked up a 6-4 victory.
"The team did a great job of bringing good energy and played a solid doubles point. That gave us the start we needed and even though we had some tough losses, we were able to get to four points and get a good team win," said head coach
Jamie Peterson.
