BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Towson softball got a pair of home runs from
Ally Hickman and
Cara Bohner, but the Camels scored five unanswered runs to defeat the Tigers 6-2 on Friday night. Hickman led the Tigers with a perfect 3-3 night from the plate that included a pair of singles and a solo home run.
Towson (9-14, 1-3 CAA) had the lead twice, but the Camels (12-12-1, 4-0 CAA) scored five unanswered runs to defeat the Tigers.

How It Happened:
- Both teams struggled to get the offense going early. Campbell would get a runner to third in the second inning, but a line out ended the threat.
- Towson would strike first in the third. Ally Hickman would lead off the inning with a solo home run to give Towson a 1-0 lead.
- Campbell would capitalize on a Tigers miscue in the bottom of the inning to tie it at 1-1.
- However, Cara Bohner would put the Tigers back in front with a solo home run to right in the fifth. The Camels would respond with a pair of runs in the bottom of the fifth to give them their first lead of the game.
- The Camels would add three more in the sixth, holding off the Tigers in the seventh to hand Towson a 6-2 loss in game one.
