BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Towson softball picked up a big 6-5 win in game two of their series with Campbell on Saturday. The Tigers used a six-run third inning and key pitching down the stretch to hold off the Camels.
Towson (10-14, 2-3 CAA) had five Tigers with multiple hits, with six of their 11 hits going for extra bases against Campbell (12-13-1, 4-1 CAA). The Tigers had four doubles, one triple and one home run in the contest.

How It Happened:
- Towson threatened early in the first. With two outs, Cara Bohner, Ally Hickman and Sydni Byers each had consecutive singles. However, a ground out ended the inning.
- The Camels would take a 2-0 lead after a pair of runs in the second. However, the Tiger bats would come to life in the third.
- Ally Hickman smashed her second home run of the weekend, this time a two-run shot to left o tie the game. Isabella Canesi would give the Tigers the lead with a two-RBI double that scored Addie Ferguson and Grace Franczyk. Mackenzie Lake made it 6-2 with a two-RBI double that scored Canesi and Myint.
- Campbell would respond with three runs in the fourth inning to trim the Tiger lead to 6-5.
- However, Tiger reliever Faith McCullough would come in and shut down the Camels the rest of the way to give Towson a tough 6-5 win on Saturday.
