TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University baseball team (6-20, 1-4 CAA) faced Hofstra (10-16, 2-3 CAA) Saturday afternoon, falling 5-1 to the Pride at John B. Schuerholz Park.
Through three innings, the Pride held a two-run advantage.
Elijah Dickerson put the Tigers on the board with his lead-off home run in the fourth, cutting the deficit in half. Hofstra added two runs on Kennedy's RBI single up the middle in the fifth, making it 4-1. The Pride added one more run in the ninth before the Tigers went down in order in the bottom half for a 5-1 final.
Key Stats:
- Towson starter Brett Seils (0-4) registered the loss in his 3.0 inning start, allowing two unearned runs on six hits with two walks issued. Seils struck out three batters.
- Hofstra starter Carlos Martinez (2-3) picked up the win, surrendering one earned run on five hits in the 7.0 inning stint. Martinez fanned nine in the outing. Hofstra reliever Mike McKenna recorded his fourth save of the season.

How it Happened:
- Following a line-out double play in the top of the first with two runners on, a passed ball put a runner back in scoring position. That set up Harrington's RBI single to left field for a one-run Hofstra advantage.
- In the third, Will Kennedy's single through the left side brought in a runner from second to extend the Pride's lead.
- Elijah Dickerson put the Tigers on the board in the fourth with a lead-off home run, his first of the season.
- With two runners in scoring position in the next frame, Kennedy singled up the middle to push the Hofstra lead to 4-1.
- The Tigers put two runners on base in the bottom half but left them stranded for no runs.
- In the top of the ninth, Hofstra's Rosso hit a single to right with a runner on third to make it a 5-1 game.
- The Tigers went down in order in the home half for a 5-1 win for the Pride.
