STONY BROOK, N.Y. – Towson softball dropped game two of their three-game series with Stony Brook, 4-2 on Saturday afternoon. The Tigers got a run in the seventh and had the tying run on second base, but the rally fell just short in the loss.
Towson (13-20, 4-7 CAA) had both runs driven in by
Mackenzie Lake who had two of the five hits for the Tigers in the contest.

How It Happened:
- Neither side could get much going in the first two innings. Towson got a runner in scoring position in the third, but a ground out ended the inning.
- Stony Brook threatened in the bottom of the inning. The Seawolves got a runner to third, but starter Erin Brown got out of the jam to keep it scoreless.
- The Seawolves would strike first, getting four runs in the fourth inning.
- Towson would cut into the deficit in the fifth. Addie Ferguson led off reaching on an error. Kellie Zoerb would pinch run and later score on a Mackenzie Lake fielder's choice, avoiding the tag at home to make it a 4-1 deficit.
- Lake would come up big again in the seventh. She singled home Ferguson who led off with a single to make it 4-2. The Tigers would put runners on second and third with two outs, but a ground out ended the rally as the Tigers fell 4-2 on Saturday.
