STONY BROOK, N.Y. – Towson softball dropped the series finale against Stony Brook, 1-0 on Sunday afternoon. Both pitching staffs held the other team at bay for most of the game with just four combined hits in the contest.
Towson (13-21, 4-8 CAA) had their lone hit from
Cara Bohner in the loss against the Seawolves. Stony Brook scored the lone run on a sacrifice fly in the sixth inning to defeat the Tigers.

How It Happened:
- Both starting pitchers were off to fast starts as the two teams had just two combined hits through the first three innings.
- Towson had the first threat of the game in the fourth. Cara Bohner reached on a two-out infield single that was followed by a Grace Franczyk walk and Ally Hickman reaching on a throwing error to load the bases. However, the Tigers could not cash in with a ground out ending the inning.
- The two teams would combine for just two hits into the sixth inning. Stony Brook would score the first and only run of the game in the sixth on a sacrifice fly to take a 1-0 lead.
- The Seawolves would hold off the Tigers in the seventh to defeat Towson 1-0 on Sunday.
