PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Towson softball fell in six innings against Drexel, 10-2 in the series opener on Friday afternoon. The Tigers were led by
Addie Ferguson who hit a solo home run in the third inning.
Towson (13-22, 4-9 CAA) had four hits in the contest by four different players with Ferguson and Lake each driving in a run.

How It Happened:
- Drexel capitalized off a Tiger error in the first to take an early 1-0 lead.
- That leads would be short lived as the Tigers would tie it in the top of the third. Addie Ferguson led off the inning with a solo home run to dead center to tie it up at 1-1.
- The Dragons would retake the lead in the fourth with a two-out bases loaded double that scored three to give Drexel a 4-1 lead. They would extend that to 5-1 after four complete.
- Towson would get a run back in the fifth. Mackenzie Lake would draw a bases loaded walk that allowed Grace Franczyk to score to cut the deficit to 5-2.
- Drexel would add to their lead in the bottom of the inning to push ahead 8-2 after five innings.
- The Dragons would score two more in the sixth to end the game with a 10-2 win.
