Towson Women’s Lacrosse Downed by #7/8 Loyola

BALTIMORE, Md. – The Towson University women's lacrosse made the short trip over to Ridley Athletic Complex on Saturday afternoon to take on the #7/8 Loyola Greyhounds. The Tigers (2-4) fell to the Greyhounds (6-0, 1-0 Patriot) 16-3.
 
Hannah Delahaye led the Tigers with a goal and an assist while Luca DeMaio and Emma Haring each added a goal.
 
Key Stats vs Loyola:
  • The Greyhounds outshot the Tigers 36-12.
  • Loyola won the draw control battle 17-4.
  • Jo Torres finished with 11 saves for the Tigers while Loyola's Lauren Spence had five saves.

  • The Greyhounds opened the game with three quick goals.
  • Loyola closed out the first quarter with two goals to lead 5-0.
  • The Greyhounds extended the lead to eight early in the second quarter.

  • Luca DeMaio scored her second goal of the season when Hannah Delahaye found DeMaio open in the middle who then blasted a shot past Spence.

  • Delahaye got her ninth goal of the year after she split two defenders and fired a shot far post to cut the deficit to nine.
  • The Greyhounds added two late goals to reach the final score of 16-3,
