TOWSON, Md. – Towson University first-year swimmer
Addie Scott has been named the 2023-24 Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) Women's Rookie Swimmer of the Year following a formidable first season in the pool for the Black & Gold.
The freshman earned two bronze medals in individual events at the championship meet. She earned a bronze medal in the 200 freestyle with a finals time of 1:48.21, which stands seventh all-time in program history. In the 500 freestyle, Scott earned her second bronze medal with a time of 4:51.62. The Nottingham, Pa. native also finished sixth in the 100 freestyle, clocking in at 50.57.
Scott earned two conference honors during the season, being named the CAA Women's Swimmer of the Week on Oct. 31 and the CAA Women's Rookie Swimmer of the Month for October.
