STONY BROOK, N.Y. – The Towson University baseball team (10-29, 3-12 CAA) completed their Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) series vs. Stony Brook (20-17, 9-6 CAA) on Sunday afternoon, falling 4-3 to the Seawolves at Joe Nathan Field in New York.
Towson put the first run on the board in the third inning courtesy of a double steal. In the bottom half, a sacrifice fly tied the game. Stony Brook added two runs in the fifth on two hits. In the top of the seventh,

- Towson reliever Luis Rivera (0-2) registered the loss, allowing two earned runs on two hits and a walk in 1.0 inning pitched, adding one strikeout.
- Stony Brook starter JT Raab (4-1) recorded the win, allowing three runs, two earned, on six hits in 9.0 innings of work. Raab added seven strikeouts.
How it Happened:
- The first three innings were scoreless, with Brett Seils stranding two runners each in the second and third innings.
- With runners on the corners in the fourth, the Tigers executed a double steal to score Dickerson from third for the 1-0 lead.
- With a runner on third in the bottom half, Micheli hit a sacrifice fly to right field to tie the game.
- The Seawolves added two runs in the fifth, starting with Erik Paulsen's double to left center to score a runner from first. Pilla followed with a single to center to give Stony Brook a 3-1 lead.
- Cole Stefano hit a triple to left center in the seventh to set up Chris Akers' RBI single to right field, pulling the Tigers within one.
- In the home half, four walks brought in a run for Stony Brook to make it 4-2.
- After reaching on an error and getting to second in the top of the ninth, a fly-out and ground-out scored Bryce Frederick to pull Towson within one. Akers got aboard on the following at-bat before Josh Janove flied out to right field to end the game.

Towson will face UMBC on Tuesday at 6 p.m. at Alumni Field in Catonsville, Md. in the second of two games this season vs. the Retrievers.
