TOWSON, Md. – Towson softball fell in the first game of their three-game set with Delaware, 7-1 on Friday afternoon. Towson took an early lead, but the Blue Hens scored seven unanswered to defeat the Tigers.
Towson (20-29, 8-14 CAA) opened the game with three straight hit to score first, but Delaware (36-9, 19-3 CAA) responded with seven straight.

How It Happened:
- Towson got out to a fast start in the first. Elizabeth Yoskowitz led off with a single followed by a single from Cori Jones. The very next pitch Mackenzie Lake ripped a double to left center to plate Yoskowitz and give Towson a 1-0 lead.
- Starter Erin Brown worked around a jam in the second. Delaware got a runner to third, but Brown got a strikeout looking to end the inning.
- Delaware would tie the game on a solo home run in the third and take the lead with two runs in the fourth.
- The Blue Hens would add another in the seventh inning to defeat the Tigers 7-1 on Friday.
