TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University baseball team (10-33, 3-15 CAA) faced Delaware (23-19, 11-7 CAA) in the final game of a three-game series Sunday afternoon, falling 16-7 to the Blue Hens at John B. Schuerholz Park.
Delaware got out to a 5-0 lead through the first frame and a half.
Jeremy Wagner's double to left center in the bottom of the second scored a run to put the Tigers on the board. The Blue Hens posted one run in the third and five in the fifth to extend their lead to 11-1.
Cole Stefano and
Elijah Dickerson each picked up an RBI in the bottom of the fifth, adding two runs for the Tigers. Delaware added two runs in the sixth and one in the seventh.
Jordan Peyton hit a bases-clearing RBI triple to right-center in the bottom of the eighth to make it a 14-6 game. Donati's double to right in the top of the ninth scored two more for the Blue Hens.
Taye Robinson knocked in one run in the bottom half before the final batter was retired for a 16-7 final.

- Towson starter Brett Seils (0-5) took the loss, allowing five earned runs on five hits and one walk issued in 2.0 innings pitched.
- Delaware reliever Tyler August (3-4) recorded the win, with two earned runs allowed on two hits and two walks issued in 3.0 innings. August added three strikeouts.
How it Happened:
- With the bases loaded in the top of the first, Dengler's groundout to first base scored the first run of the game. Graeber's single to center on the following at-bat scored two, giving Delaware a 3-0 lead.
- The Blue Hens added two runs in the second on back-to-back home runs from Greenly and Ludman.
- Jeremy Wagner put the Tigers on the board in the bottom of the second, scoring Bishop from first on a double to left-center field.
- Delaware's Diaz hit a single to right-center with two runners on in the third to extend the lead to 6-1.
- Delaware posted five runs on five hits in the fifth to make it a ten-run edge.
- Cole Stefano's groundout to second with two runners in scoring position in the bottom of the fifth plated a run for Towson. Dickerson followed with an RBI infield single to third base, making it an 11-3 game.
- Delaware's Graeber hit an inside-the-park home run to center with a runner on base to add two more runs in the top of the sixth.
- A wild pitch in the top of the seventh extended the Delaware lead to 14-3.
- After a pair of walks and a single loaded the bases for Towson in the bottom of the eighth, Jordan Peyton hit a bases-clearing triple to right-center to make it a 14-6 game.
- A double to right field with two runners on in the top of the ninth pushed the Delaware lead to ten runs.
- Taye Robinson's single to right field with runners on the corners in the bottom half added a run for the Tigers. The final batter was retired for a 16-7 final at Schuerholz Park.
