TOWSON, Md.- The Towson University Tigers tennis team is set to play three matches across four days. On Thursday, Towson heads down the road for a 3 p.m. match against Loyola. The Tigers welcome CAA foe William & Mary on Saturday at the Tiger Tennis Complex at 1 p.m. Towson wraps up the week with a Sunday match against Mount St. Mary's at 1 p.m.

Home Sweet Home
The Tigers start a stretch of home matches to close out the 2024 season. Towson will play seven of its last nine matches at the Tiger Tennis Complex, which include three CAA matches. The Tigers start a seven match homestand on Saturday with William & Mary and finish with Hampton on April 15

New Faces
The Black & Gold welcome three new players for this upcoming season with two freshmen and one senior transfer.
Ashira Murray comes to Towson after playing across the pond in England, while
Chandrè Boshoff comes over from South Africa.
Mya Spencer joins the Tigers after playing three seasons as Saint Louis and is a Bowie, Maryland native. Spencer totaled 37 singles wins and 35 doubles wins for the Billikens.                                                                                    Â
Fall RecapÂ
Towson competed in five tournaments during the fall season. The Tigers started with three wins in the Towson Hidden Dual Tournament. At the Tribe Invitational, the Tigers picked up five wins with
Mya Spencer winning a consolation bracket championship. Towson competed in the Navy Blue & Gold Invitational next. The Tigers totaled two singles wins and one doubles victory. The Black & Gold went down the road and took part in the Greyhounds Women's Tennis Classic. Towson picked up 11 victories as three doubles pairs reached their respective finals. The Tigers closed out the fall season at the ITA Atlantic Regional.
Last Week Recap
The Black & Gold played two matches and a scrimmage last week going 2-0. The Tigers started the week with a 4-0 sweep against Monmouth.

Sania Suchinsky each picked up a singles win. Towson followed up with a 9-0 sweep against Salisbury. The Tigers closed out the week with a scrimmage against Johns Hopkins.
Loyola Scouting Report
The Greyhounds have an 8-4 record with a 2-2 mark in the Patriot League. Loyola opened the season with four wins defeating Hampton, Swarthmore, Chestnut Hill and Norfolk State. Loyola fell to Howard, but bounced back with a sweep of Coppin State. The Greyhounds lost their next three matches, falling to Villanova, Navy and Army. Loyola bounced back winning its next three matches against Holy Cross, Mount St. Mary's and Lehigh.
William & Mary Scouting Report
The Tribe bring in a 11-5 record and are 3-0 in CAA play. William & Mary started the season with wins over Longwood and Georgetown, but fell to Maryland 4-3. The Tribe bounced back with a 4-0 sweep against St. John's. William & Mary lost its next three matches to Toledo, West Virginia and VCU. The Tribe swept George Mason, then fell to #52 Charlotte. William & Mary are currently on a six-match winning streak defeating East Carolina, George Washington, UNCW, Charleston, Hofstra, Temple and Norfolk State.
Mount St. Mary's Scouting Report
The Mountaineers have a 2-7 record with a 0-2 mark in the MAAC. The Mount started its season with a 4-3 win over Morgan State, but fell to Howard. The Mountaineers picked up a 4-3 win over the University of the District of Columbia. The Mount currently have a six-match losing streak, falling to West Virginia, Rhode Island, Niagara, Fairfield, Saint Francis and Loyola. The Mountaineers will play George Mason and Quinnipiac before playing the Tigers.

Towson will host four home matches next week starting off with Rider on Tuesday, April 9th at 3 p.m. at the Tiger Tennis Complex.
