TOWSON, Md.- The Towson University tennis team welcomed the Mount St. Mary's Mountaineers on Sunday afternoon. The Tigers defeated the Mountaineers 5-2 at the Tiger Tennis Complex. In singles action, Ashira Murray, Lea Kosanovic and Sania Suchinsky won in straight sets, while Chandré Boshoff and Olivia Rothfeld won in three sets. In doubles action, Kosanovic and Boshoff won their match at the No.1 flight for the second straight day. The Black & Gold will host Rider on Tuesday, April 9th at the Tiger Tennis Complex at 3 p.m.

"The team did a phenomenal job of executing our overall team competitiveness. We lost a tough doubles point but came roaring back to win five out of six singles when the pressure was on us to win the match", said head coach Jamie Peterson.
