Women's Swimming and Diving Announces 2024-2025 Schedule

TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University women's swimming & diving team has released its 2024-25 schedule, announced by head coach Anthony Bruno Monday afternoon.
 
The Black & Gold are slated to host four dual meets and the Tiger Winter Open at Burdick Pool this season. Towson makes six road stops on the campaign, competing in four dual meets and three invitationals.
The season kicks off Saturday Oct. 5, with Towson hosting both Old Dominion and Johns Hopkins for a dual meet beginning at 11:00 a.m.
 
The Tigers then have a road-home back-to-back when it visits La Salle for a dual meet on Friday, Oct. 11 beginning at 12:00 p.m. The next day Towson is back at home hosting Seton Hall, with diving starting at 10:00 a.m. and swimming beginning at 12:00 p.m.

The first full road trip on the schedule takes the Tigers to Loyola where it will compete in the Thomas Murphy Invite from Friday, Oct. 25 through Sunday, Oct. 27.
 
The following weekend, the swimmers open conference play when Towson goes on the road to face Delaware in a dual meet on Saturday, Nov. 2, beginning at 1:00 p.m.
 
The next stop of the season is the Patriot Invitational, hosted by George Mason, from Thursday, Nov. 21 through Saturday, Nov. 23. Preliminary heats begin daily at 10:00 a.m. with finals sessions slated for 6:00 p.m. each evening.
Qualifying competitors will compete in the USA Swimming U.S. Open in Greensboro, N.C. from Dec. 4 to Dec. 7.
 
The Tiger divers will also be in action on Dec. 7 competing in the UMBC winter dive invite.

Towson then returns to Burdick Pool for two straight dual meets. Towson hosts Howard Wednesday, Jan. 15. Then on Senior Day, the final CAA dual meet of the season sees Drexel come to Burdick. Both meets begin with diving at 10:00 a.m. followed by swimming at noon.
  
Next up the Tigers will host the Tiger Winter Open at Burdick Pool over three sessions. Session one starts at 5:00 p.m. on Jan. 31. Sessions two and three start at 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. the following day, Saturday, Feb. 1.
 
In preparation for the conference championships, Towson will head to UVA for the Cavalier invite from Feb. 7 through Feb. 9.

The 2023-24 CAA Championships is hosted at the Hampton Virginia Aquaplex from February 26 – March 1.
From March 10 to March 12, certain qualifiers will compete in NCAA Zone "A" Diving at Rutgers University.
 
Select competitors will participate in the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) National Invitational Championship in Ocala, Fla. from March 13 –15 of 2025.
 
For qualifying competitors who eclipse the meet's time standards, the season will conclude March 19 – 22 in Federal Way, Washington at the 2024 Division I NCAA Men's Swimming & Diving Championships.
