TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University volleyball team headed to Charlotte, N.C. for the Charlotte Invitational in the first road trip of the season. The Tigers won in straight sets over Delaware State in the first match Friday at Halton Arena. In the second against Tennessee Tech, the match went to five sets with the Tigers losing a late lead in set five to fall 17-15 in the deciding set.
Against Delaware State,
Ylenia De Mango and
Maisie Jesse each recorded career-high service ace totals with four and three respectively. The Tigers held a .210 advantage in hitting percentage in the match.
In the second match, Towson's opening 25-22 set one victory was the first set taken by an opponent over Tennessee Tech all season.
