BUIES CREEK, N.C. –
Sophie Thibeault contributes on all three goals the Tigers score as Towson University women's soccer comes away with a key three points in conference play in a 3-2 win over Campbell.
Thibeault assisted on the first goal of the game, a
Kale'a Perry tally, before netting the next two Towson goals to come away with the 3-2 win.
"I was really proud of the team. We have been working so hard and playing well but not getting the results we want," Thibeault said. "It felt good to get the ball in the back of the net and prove the team we are."

Kale'a Perry], Sophie [Thibeault] and [Emely] Rubio were very dangerous in the attack. The three first half goals were beautiful. Defensively, we tightened things up in the second half. It took grit and determination to get this result. Teagan came up big."

- Campbell had 18 shots, including 11 on target to Towson's 14 shots, six on target
- Teagan Gardner came away with a new career high in saves with nine
- Towson only had two corner kicks in the game to Campbell's nine
- Perry also contributed an assist with her goal
- Emely Rubio assisted on two goals
How It Happened:
- Campbell got on the board early with a goal in the fifth minute
- Perry tied it back up in the 17th minute
- Campbell regained the lead in the 19th minute before Thibeault scored two before the first half ended to give the Tigers a 3-2 lead
- Campbell peppered the net in the second half but Gardner came away with eight second half saves
