PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Towson University field hockey team visited Drexel for a Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) game on Friday. The Tigers allowed a goal in every quarter as Towson suffered a 4-0 defeat.

- Tessa Scheenstra receives the loss allowing four goals with seven saves.
- For Drexel: Ryan Hickey scored twice, Anna Castaldo and Pili Lemoine found the goal once each and Halle Geiger earned the shutout win in goal.
How it Happened:
- Drexel took control of the game early and earned a corner, the initial delivery was mishandled but Drexel kept possession and Natali Foster carried down the right side of the circle and found Anna Castaldo in front of goal who shot and scored to give Drexel an early lead.
- Drexel maintained control into the second quarter and Valentine Van Hellemont was played in down the right sideline and sent a low cross in to the circle that was met by a Dragon and forced a brilliant short range save from Tessa Scheenstra.
- Later in the period, Van Hellemont again carried down the right side of the field and passed to Pili Lemoine who carried to her left and hit a ball towards goal that was deflected past Scheenstra by Ryan Hickey to double the Dragons lead.
- Neither side found much offense for the rest of the quarter as Towson entered halftime down 2-0.
- Early in the third, Drexel got possession off a missed Ella Kaufman shot and passed down the right side before breaking into the Tiger circle, the ball was crossed to Lemoine whose first effort was saved by Scheenstra but Lemoine got the ball right back and scored to make it 3-0.
- The Tigers earned a corner in the final minutes of the third period but couldn't get a goal back as the game entered the fourth quarter with a 3-0 Drexel lead.
- The Dragons earned multiple corners in the first five minutes of the fourth and a passing combination led to a Fleur Hamers shot that was deflected in by Hickey for Drexel's fourth goal.
- Towson earned one last corner with under a minute left in the game but couldn't close the gap as the Tigers fell to the Dragons 4-0.
