TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University field hockey team faced Bucknell in its final non-conference game of the season. A
Dakotah Trader brace wasn't enough as the Tigers lost to the Bison 4-2.

- Dakotah Trader had her second multi-goal game of the season.

- For Bucknell: Kira Leclercq scored three goals, Katie Lintz netted and Sally Hunter had a pair of assists. Sarah Althouse earns the win allowing two goals with six saves.
How it Happened:
- The Tigers created the games first chances as Arden Hunteman carried into the right side of the circle and fired a low shot that was padded back by Bison goalie Sarah Althouse, the Tigers earned a corner from the ensuing play and Anouk Westerink's top of the circle shot was also saved by Althouse.
- Midway through the period Towson sent a free hit into the circle and the ball was knocked to Hunteman at the right edge of the circle who played a pass to the middle that was met by Dakotah Trader who beat Althouse with a front post shot to put Towson up 1-0 after the first quarter.
- In the middle of the second period, Bucknell's Sally Hunter received the ball at the 25-yard line and fired into the top of the circle towards Katie Lintz who deflected the ball into the near bottom corner of the goal to bring the game to a 1-1 tie that held into halftime.
- Four minutes into the second half, Bucknell earned a corner, Hunter delivered to Nicky Punt at the top of the circle who laid the ball off to Kira Leclercq who shot and scored to give Bucknell a 2-1 lead.
- With four minutes left in the third, Reese Czajkowski received the ball on the right sideline and carried past a defender and into the circle where she was met by Tessa Scheenstra, but Bucknell received a penalty stroke which was converted by Leclercq to make it 3-1 Bison entering the final period.
- Early in the fourth, Scheenstra saved a Czajkowski shot but Bucknell earned a corner, Hunter delivered then got the ball back for a shot that was saved by a sweeping Scheenstra, Czajkowski got the rebound in front of an open net and was denied a goal by Lydia Bennett, but Bucknell received another penalty stroke which was successfully scored by Leclercq for her third goal of the game to push the Bison's lead to 4-1.
- Five minutes later Towson earned a corner, the delivery came to Rosemarie Staal whose shot was knocked right back at her by Althouse for a second attempt that was again saved by Althouse.
- The Tigers earned another corner with two minutes to play, Trader delivered for Westerink whose shot rang off the post then off Althouse before it was pounced on by Trader who scored her second of the game to cut into the deficit, but Towson couldn't close the gap further as the game ended 4-2 in Bucknell's favor.
