TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University volleyball team hosted the Stony Brook Seawolves on Saturday afternoon in the final regular season home match of the 2025 campaign.
 
Stony Brook (10-11, 6-6 CAA) held decisive hitting advantages in the first, second and fourth sets to top Towson (20-5, 11-3 CAA) in the Tigers' final home match of the regular season.
 
Key Stats:

• Stony Brook outhit Towson .241 to .120 in the match. SBU opened the match with a .615 to .258 hitting edge in set one.
• The Seawolves limited themselves to seven or less attacking errors in all four sets. The Tigers topped seven errors in two of four sets.
• Stony Brook's Kali Moore led all players with 19 kills.

 
How it Happened

• Kills from Erin Brothers, Sarah Callender, Ella Sanders and Kendall Minta allowed Towson to get out to an early 5-1 lead in the first set.
• Stony Brook won six of the next seven points to claim a 7-5 lead.
• Another 6-1 run later in the set pushed the Seawolves' lead to six at 15-9.
• Following a Towson side out, Stony Brook scored five unanswered points to extend its lead to ten.
• The Seawolves totaled five kills over the final seven points of the first set to take the 25-13.
• Towson opened set two with a 5-2 lead, with Tshilanda Diouf recording three kills in the run.
• Stony Brook answered with wins on six of the next seven points to claim an 8-6 lead.
• The Tigers tied the score at eight apiece before the Seawolves scored points on nine of the next 11 points to claim a 17-10 lead.
• Down 18-11, the Tigers won six of the next eight points to pull within three at 20-17.
• In a 22-17 hole, Towson scored four unanswered points to pull the deficit to one.

The Tigers will visit Long Island to face the Hofstra Pride in the final CAA series of the regular season. The matches are slated for Friday at 4 p.m. and Saturday at 3 p.m.
