TOWSON, Md. – Towson University basketball player
Viki Matulevicius has been named the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) Rookie of the Week, announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.
The Illinois native amassed 14 points on 5-6 shooting from the field and a perfect 4-4 mark from behind the arc in the Tigers' Sunday win over Coppin State in 19 minutes off the bench. She added two rebounds and a block in the victory.
The redshirt freshman averaged 6.3 points, 1.0 rebound and 0.7 assists in the Tigers' 2-1 week, shooting 41.2% (7-17) from the field and 55.6% (5-9) from deep.
Matulevicius is the Tigers' first CAA Rookie of the Week recipient since
Khady Leye earned the award on Jan. 27, 2025.
