College Park, Md. - The Towson University tennis team continues non-conference play against University of Maryland in College Park on Friday evening at 6PM.

Towson opened its spring season on Feb. 2 against Richmond, where the Tigers dropped the match to the Spiders (7-0). No. 2 doubles partners Ashira Murray and Tamzin Pountney led 5-2 before falling in the tiebreaker, 8-6.

UMD Scouting Report
The Terps currently sit at a 3-3 record. Maryland opened its spring campaign with a loss to Texas (4-0) but bounced back the next day with a win against BYU (4-2). The Terps then lost the next two matches against Columbia (4-1) and Notre Dame (4-3). Maryland won its two most recent matches, picking up a win against Howard (7-0) and Morgan State (4-0). The Terps play Virginia Commonwealth Saturday afternoon before they face off against Towson Saturday evening.

The Tigers will host Johns Hopkins on Friday, Feb. 21 at 6PM. The match will take place at Coppermine – Bare Hills.
