JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Former Towson University football student-athlete
Grant Udinski is rising up the professional coaching ranks, joining the Jacksonville Jaguars in the National Football League (NFL) as the team's offensive coordinator.
Udinski has spent the last three years as an assistant offensive coordinator/assistant quarterbacks coach with the Minnesota Vikings, helping the team to 14 victories and a playoff berth in 2024 for an offense which averaged 25.4 points and 237.8 passing yards per game, each top-10 in the NFL. Before Minnesota, he spent two years with the Carolina Panthers.
"Grant will bring a wealth of knowledge, energy and a winning mindset to help lead our offense here in Jacksonville," said Jaguars head coach Liam Coen in the team's official press release. "He is a rising star in this league that has been a pillar of success for the Vikings organization and we can't wait to have him lead our offense."
After transferring in from Davidson, Udinski played at defensive line for two years for Towson, finishing with six sacks, three forced fumbles and 43 tackles. His performance on the field and in the classroom earned him 2018 CoSIDA Google Cloud Academic All-America® First Team.
Udinski is not the only Tiger in the NFL coaching ranks. Brian Fluery serves as the tight ends coach for the San Francisco 49ers while Joe Vitt is a senior defensive assistant for the Denver Broncos.
