WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. – The Towson University men's basketball team went against the Monmouth Hawks on Saturday afternoon. The Tigers (16-9, 11-1 CAA) defeated the Hawks (8-17, 6-6 CAA) 73-69 to win their tenth consecutive game and earn their best start in conference play in program history.
Tyler Tejada finished with a team-high 17 points on 6-of-12 (50%) shooting.
Dylan Williamson added 14 points and grabbed five rebounds, tying a season high.

- The Hawks cut their deficit down to two late, but Dylan Williamson drained a three-pointer right before halftime to take a 38-33 lead into the break.
- Monmouth started the second half by scoring seven of the first nine points to even the score at 40.
- The Tigers responded with a 14-5 run, getting three pointers from Tyler Tejada and Williamson to lead 54-45 halfway through the second half.
