The routine that earned the Tigers third place consisted of a dynamic combination of chants, stunts and tumbling to showcase a true Towson sideline Game Day experience.
The UCA College National Championship is a prestigious, nationally televised event where only the most elite college cheerleading teams compete to bring home the national title. The competition took place at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex from January 17

"Stepping into the head coaching position I had two goals for the team," said head coach
Eugene Younger. "The first being a culture reset. I believe for any team to be successful they have to be a team and bonded outside of the gym. My second and more national focused goal was to have the team come off of the floor with performances that they were proud of. Throughout the season we talked about the importance of being better than you were the day before. With the combination of the positive culture and the hours of hard work, the team not only came off the floor happy with their performance but also were able to get a medal around their neck in one of the toughest divisions in the championship! This team was unlike any other and I am and will forever be proud of each and everyone of them!"
This annual UCA event consists of 300 teams who have traveled from across the country to represent their college and showcase the product of their dedication. These teams are divided by their respective programs and placed into divisions where they will compete to be the victor.
The Tigers competed against 22 other universities for the All-Girl Division 1 Game Day national title. The team then advanced to the final round of its division, where it placed third out of the top 11 teams.
