Towson Women’s Lacrosse Cruises Past Longwood on Tuesday

TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University women's lacrosse team welcomed the Longwood Lancers in a mid-week non-conference matchup on Tuesday afternoon. The Tigers (5-3) defeated the Lancers (0-7) 22-2 at Tiger Field.
 
Katie Roszko led the Tigers with a game-high five points on three goals and two assists. Valerie Thompson tied a season-high with four goals while Savannah Safchuck added three goals and an assist.

  • Zizakovic added a late goal in the third quarter to give the Tigers a 17-2 lead heading into the final quarter.

  • Hailey Waldron scored her eighth goal of the season to push the lead to 17 when she juked past two defenders and fired a shot far post.
  • Emma Baker, Sydney Casserly and Louise Aloi each scored their first collegiate goal to seal a 22-2 victory for the Tigers.
