TOWSON, Md – The Towson University softball team played the second of a three-game series against Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) foes North Carolina A&T. A back-and-forth game saw a walk-off homerun deliver the Aggies an 8-6 victory.

Towson – 15-16, 5-6 CAA
North Carolina A&T – 8-24, 1-10 CAA
Key Stats:
- Isabella Canesi, Grace Franczyk, Kristin Toland and Cara Bohner all had multiple hits.
- Madyson Peters hit her fourth homerun of the year, becoming the fourth Tiger to reach that number.
- The winning pitcher Lauren Hardy pitched 2.1 innings out the of the bullpen allowing three hits and one run to improve her record on the season to 3-2.
- The losing pitcher Cadence Williams came out of the bullpen to throw 4.0 innings allowing seven hits and three runs with five strikeouts.
How it happened:
- Briyana Wright walked, and Cara Bohner singled to lead off the game. Two batters later Grace Franczyk hit an RBI single to give Towson an early 1-0 lead.
- Aaliyah Williams hit a one out single in the home half of the 1st and stole second. Ayanna Mears hit a two-out RBI double to tie the game at one run apiece.
- Three of the first four Aggies to bat in the bottom of the second singled with the third single driving in the go-ahead run. After an infield single loaded the bases, Katriel Williams drew an RBI walk to make it 3-1 Aggies. Trombley struck out Mears to avoid any further damage.
- After Towson went down in order for the second straight inning, a single and double put runners on second and third with one out in the 3rd for the Aggies and Jamari Moss hit a two-run single to center field to drive in both runners and double North Carolina A&T's lead to 5-1.
- Both teams were held scoreless in the 4th inning.
- In the top of the 5th, Bohner singled, Kristin Toland doubled, and Franczyk walked to load the bases with no outs. The next batter Isabella Canesi ripped a two-run single up the middle to cut the lead in half, but pinch runner Anaya Troy was thrown out at third. However, with two outs Madyson Peters hit a two-run homerun to tie the game 5-5.
- In the home half of the 5th Destiny Sims led off the inning with a triple and Moss earned her third RBI of the game with a double to put the Aggies back ahead 6-5 after five innings.
- Bohner hit a two-out single in the top of the 6th and Kristin Toland doubled her home to tie the game back up 6-6.
- Cadence Williams pitched a scoreless bottom of the 6th and Lauren Hardy kept the Tigers off the board in the top of the 7th.
- Jaden James led off the bottom of the 7th with a double and two batters later Trinity Glover hit a walk-off two-run homerun to deliver the Aggies an 8-6 win.

The Tigers play the series finale against North Carolina A&T tomorrow with Sunday's game currently scheduled for a 12 p.m. start time.
