BOX SCORE Towson, Md. - The Towson University tennis team hosted Loyola (Md.) on Wednesday at the Tiger Tennis Complex for a non-conference matchup. The Tigers fell 4-3 to the Greyhounds.
Loyola earned the doubles points after securing wins in all three matches. In singles play,
Tamzin Pountney won at No. 3 in a tiebreaker set. At No. 4,
Olivia Rothfeld secured a win in straight sets.
Sania Suchinsky got another win for the Tigers at No. 6.
"The girls competed very hard to the last ball, but we fell short again," said head coach
Jamie Peterson. "A doubles point loss got us off to a poor start and we couldn't keep up in singles."
