COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The Towson University baseball team faced Maryland on Tuesday evening at Bob Smith Stadium in College Park.
Maryland (19-23, 5-13 Big Ten) built an early lead, scoring two in the first and three in the third on a pair of home runs.
AJ Kolb plated the lone Towson (13-28, 5-10 CAA) run of the game in the fourth inning as the Tigers fell 11-1 to the Terps in seven innings.

- Towson starter Matt Lynch (2-1) took the loss, allowing two earned runs on three hits in 2.0 innings pitched. Lynch struck out four batters.
- Maryland starter Brayden Ryan (3-0) earned the win, allowing one earned run on five hits and two walks in 7.0 innings pitched. Ryan struck out six.
How it Happened
- After Orr's single down the right field line in the bottom of the first, Eddie Hacopian hit a home run to left center to give Maryland a 2-0 lead.
- The Terrapins added three more runs on four hits in the third, scoring on Chris Hacopian's home run.
- With two runners on in the top of the fourth, AJ Kolb singled up the middle and plated the first Tiger run of the game.
- Orr hit a home run of his own, a two-run shot, in the bottom half to give the Terps a 7-1 lead.
- Maryland added two runs on one hit and an error in the fifth, pushing its lead to 9-1.
- Two more runs for the Terps in the bottom of the seventh ended the game 11-1 after seven innings.

The Tigers visit Buies Creek, North Carolina this weekend to face the Campbell Camels for the first time in CAA play. The series begins on Friday at 6 p.m.
