BUIES CREEK, N.C. – The Towson University baseball team faced Campbell in Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) play on Sunday afternoon at Jim Perry Stadium in Buies Creek, N.C.
Towson (14-30, 6-12 CAA) struck first in the third inning, scoring two runs on two hits and one error.
Campbell (18-24, 9-9 CAA) cut the lead to one in the bottom half and tied the game in the next inning. The Tigers got the winning run across in the ninth inning by way of a bases-loaded walk to give them the 3-2 road win.

Towson reliever Nate Nabholz (4-0) earned the win, tossing 4.0 two-hit, scoreless frames. Nabholz struck out five. Kyle Emmons picked up his second save of the season after allowing one hit in a scoreless ninth inning.
How it Happened

The Tigers struck first in the top of the third inning. After Ethan Brand's single and Jordan Peyton's walk, a fielding error by the shortstop allowed Brand to score. Peyton scored on the following at-bat, Brett Ahalt's double to left center.
